As you already know, discussions have been taking place with the West Central Florida PBA related to their negotiating team’s presentation of their desired contract modifications for the current year. Also, as you already know, the City’s negation team reached a tentative agreement with PBA on October 10, 2023. Therefore, in accordance with Florida Statute 447, Labor Organizations Part II, Public Employees, both parties are required to successively recommend to their respective voting bodies that the agreed upon terms and conditions be considered favorably. In that regard, the PBA conducted a vote ratifying the proposed amendments on October 20, 2023.
The agreed upon changes are as follows:
1. The normal work period for all bargaining unit employees will consist of eighty-four (84) hours per pay period.
2. All bargaining unit members shall receive a cost-of-living adjustment of (5%).
