RE:Request for Approval to Reinstate Ron Becker to the Pasco County Library Cooperative Board

REQUEST:

The Library Advisory Board requests New Port Richey City Council to recommend the re-appointment of Mr. Ronald Becker to the Pasco County Cooperative Library Advisory Board.   

 

 

 



DISCUSSION:

During the October 23, 2023, Library Advisory Board Meeting, board members voted unanimously to recommend Mr. Ron Becker be re-appointed to the Pasco County Library Cooperative Board. 

 

It was agreed that Mr. Becker duly represented the City of New Port Richey, its public library, and the community it serves, during his previous term. Furthermore, Mr. Becker’s knowledge and dedication to the field of Librarianship, the City of New Port Richey Public Library, and the New Port Richey Community, makes him a fitting representative to fill this important role.

 

Should the City Council approve the recommendation of the Library Advisory Board, your decision will be communicated to the Pasco County Commissioners for their subsequent approval in a process dictated by the Pasco County Code of Ordinances.



RECOMMENDATION:

The Library Advisory Board and staff request the New Port Richey City Council to confirm and recommend the re-appointment of Mr. Ronald Becker to the Pasco County Cooperative Library Advisory Board.
