REQUEST:
Attached for City Council’s review and consideration for approval is Task Order No.23-003 from Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) in the amount of $135,900 for engineering services associated with the 2024 Astor Dr. and Palmetto Rd. Drainage Improvements Project.
DISCUSSION:
The project’s scope of work is included in the City's current Capital Improvement Program (CIP), in the summary of flood control/water quality projects section. The proposed stormwater improvement flood control elements for this project include the construction of stormwater inlets at the intersections of Berkeley Rd., Carlton Rd., and Dartmouth Rd. along Astor Dr. The installation approximately 95 linear feet (LF) of stormwater pipe along Astor Dr. from Berkeley Rd. to Palmetto Rd. where it will tie into the existing stormwater system located at Stork St. and Palmetto Rd. where a water quality baffle box will be installed. This area was identified in the City's 2013 Stormwater Master Drainage Plan 10-Year Update due to continual street flooding and repetitive flooding of homes during storm events.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of Task Order is recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds are allocated in the Stormwater Utility Capital Budget line-item 002103-46399. | | | |
