REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to continue their discussion regarding modifications to the City's Solid Waste Collection Ordinance.
DISCUSSION:
As a follow up to comments made during your February 6, 2024 regular meeting, the purpose of this agenda item is to continue the discussion regarding the proposed modifications to the City's current Solid Waste Collection Ordinance. To aid in the discussion, attached to this memorandum is the estimated total revenue and anticipated costs for the remainder of FY24 and also annually moving forward. In addition, I have included a copy of the proposed ordinance which will be brought before you for second and final reading at your meeting on February 20, 2024. The changes to the proposed ordinance from first reading are as follows:
- Changes to the definition of "Solid Waste"
- Changes to residential service interruption
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council continue their discussion regarding modifications to the City's Solid Waste Collection Ordinance as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
