REQUEST:
The request of staff for City Council is to review and consider for approval the attached low bid in the do not exceed amount of $1,733,106.56 and award ITB24-016 to Augustine Construction, Inc., for the 2023 Grand Blvd. MUP Phase 1.
DISCUSSION:
As City Council is aware, this proposed project is included in the Parks and Recreation’s August 2020 Trails Feasibility Study. Subsequent to the construction phase completion, the Grand Blvd. (MUP) Phase 1 will connect with the City’s existing path Marine Pkwy and head north to Gulf Dr. Design elements include the asphalt milling and the paving of the existing roadway surface. The construction of a 10’ wide concrete path, decorative street lighting, landscape and irrigation areas that will include trees, shrubs, and ground cover. Finally, stormwater improvements will be installed along the MUP to improve current drainage activity.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of ITB and project award are recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for this project are identified and allocated in the City's current Capital Improvement Program as Penny for Pasco Tax Dollars and Local Option Gas Tax Dollars. | | | |
