The Toys for Tots campaign aims to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys to children in need during the holiday season. The Recreation and Aquatic Center runs this program annually and believes that it plays a vital role in bringing joy and hope to over 2,000 underprivileged children in New Port Richey and the surrounding areas. Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, the Toys for Tots program was successful in distributing thousands of toys to deserving children, ensuring they have a memorable holiday season.
The success of this campaign relies heavily on having adequate space to store and organize the toys in the months leading up to the event. Therefore, we are seeking the use of a storage space for a period of up to 6 months, to facilitate the storage and organization needs for the Toys for Tots program donations.
We believe that by supporting the Toys for Tots campaign, the Community Redevelopment Agency will be contributing to the well-being and happiness for the children in our community. The temporary use of the former SunTrust Bank location at 6128 US Highway 19 will have a profound impact on our ability to run an effective and successful campaign again this year.
