RE:	Board Appointments: Mark Vandenbroek and R. Carol Casey, Library Advisory Board

REQUEST:

Staff requests that City Council consider the appointment of Mr. Mark Vandenbroek and the re-appointment of Ms. R. Carol Casey to the Library Advisory Board.

DISCUSSION:

The City Manager has reviewed the application of Mr. Vandenbroek to serve as first alternate on the Library Advisory Board. As required by City Code, this appointment must be approved by the City Council. If approved by Council, the appointment will be for a three-year term and will expire on August 16, 2019.

Ms. Casey is currently serving as a member of the Library Advisory Board however her term expires on August 20, 2016. Ms. Casey's term will be for three years will expire on August 20, 2019.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council approve Mr. Vandenbroek's appointment and Ms. Casey's re-appointment along with the updated Board roster.

BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
No funding is required for this item.
