The request before City Council is to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application from the Holiday Rotary Club to offer Kraft Beer and Wine at the Summer Sunset Concert Series in Sims Park.

The City of New Port Richey is hosting a Summer Sunset Concert Series in Sims Park and the Holiday Rotary Club is interested in offering Kraft Beer and Wine sales during the three concert nights on July 9th, July 23rd and August 6th, 2016.  Alcohol sells will be from 7:00p.m. - 9:30p.m. on each night. A map is located in the application packet identifying the location for the alcohol sells.  The Special Event Team reviewed the application at their meeting on June 29, 2016.

This item was presented to City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 and was approved with a vote of 3-2 with Mayor Marlowe and Councilman Davis voting against the approval of the item.  Since the time of the meeting it has come to the attention that Councilwoman DeBella Thomas was actually ineligible to have voted on this agenda item.  A special meeting has been called for Friday, July 8, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in order to re-address this agenda item by the reamaining members of City Council.
