REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to adopt Resolution 2016-20 authorizing the City Manager to execute the State of Florida Department of Transportation Economic Development Transportation Project Fund Agreement in regards to the US19 Multi-Modal Overpass Project.
DISCUSSION:
As you are all aware, the City has been awarded $750,000 in grant funding from the State to aid in the construction of a pedestrian overpass along U.S. Highway 19 in New Port Richey. Pursuant to the provisions outlined in the proposed Agreement, the City Council is required to adopt a resolution which authorizes the City Manager to execute the State of Florida Department of Transportation Economic Development Transportation Project Fund Agreement on behalf of the City. The resolution has been reviewed and approved by the city attorney and is attached to this agenda item for your approval.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council adopt Resolution 2016-20 authorizing the City Manager to execute the State of Florida Department of Transportation Economic Development Transportation Project Fund Agreement in regards to the US19 Multi-Modal Overpass Project.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
