REQUEST:
City Council is asked to review and adopt the resolution.
DISCUSSION:
Pasco County Commissioners adopted a similar resolution requesting that the Legislative Delegation support and sponsor 2017 legislation to designate US Highway 19 as a "Gulf Coast Highway". It urged the cities of New Port Richey and Port Richey to do the same. The idea originated from a public outreach campaign by the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
