REQUEST:
The request of staff for City Council is to review and consider for approval the attached CDBG subrecipient agreement for the 2015/2016 Circle Blvd. Improvements Project.
DISCUSSION:
As City Council is aware, several projects similar in design and construction have received CDBG funding. Pine Hill Rd. Paving and Drainage Improvements as well as the most recent 2011 Stormwater and ADA Improvements Project were completed using CDBG funds. The proposed Circle Blvd. Improvements Project includes the milling of the existing pavement, drainage improvements, ADA improvements to sidewalk ramps, asphalt paving and striping.
The attached agreement is similar in content and format of previously approved agreements between Pasco County and the City of New Port Richey.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the subrecipient CDBG agreement is recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The subrecipient agreement authorizes $198,970.00 disbursement of CDBG funds for this project to the City. The remaining funds for this project are allocated in the Stormwater Utility in the amount of $56,030. The total project estimate including engineering services is $255,000.
