RE:Request for Council Approval to Accept a $500 Monetary Donation

REQUEST:

I respectfully request Council authorization to accept a $500 donation from an anonymous individual to benefit the police department.



DISCUSSION:

A female individual, who stated she wished to remain anonymous, presented a check for $500 in honor of two of her family members who were law enforcement officers for many years in another jurisdiction. The individual said she wanted the donation to be used to benefit the K-9 Unit.



RECOMMENDATION:

I respectfully request Council approve acceptance of $500 donation from an anonymous individual to be applied to the department’s K-9 account.



BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

This is a positive impact of $500 to the police department budget.
