REQUEST:
The request of staff for City Council is to review and consider for approval the Final Deductive Change Order in the amount of one thousand one hundred fifty-four dollars and sixty-six cents ($1,154.66) and the Final Pay Request in the amount of fifty-three thousand eight hundred thirty-seven dollars and fifty-two cents $53,837.52 from Whiteleaf, LLC dba Traffic Solutions for the completion of the 2015/2016 Roadway Striping Project.
DISCUSSION:
As Council is aware, the City's Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of roadways owned by the City of New Port Richey. The application of roadway markings or striping is a part of the maintenance activities. This project included the removal, the replacement, and upgrades to current FDOT standards where applicable of existing roadway markings and raised pavement reflectors on Grand Blvd. from Circle Blvd. south to Cecelia Drive. Additional work performed included the striping of the Recreation Center front parking lot and driveway.
The deductive change order was the result of lower material quantities used than estimated schedule of values contained in the project bid.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the final deductive change order and final pay request are recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for the project is allocated in the Street Improvement Fund Account No. 701-0701-541-63-46.
