REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review and approve the Annual Membership Drive for Annual Memberships purchased for the Recreation and Aquatic Center.
DISCUSSION:
Each year, during the months of December and January, the Recreation and Aquatic Center offers a sale on Annual Memberships. Memberships purchased from December 18, 2016 through January 14, 2017 will receive a 20% reduction in cost. In January the fitness industry realizes an increase in memberships due to people pledging to get fit for the new year. We start our sale in December in order to offer the sale of gift certificates for memberships during the holidays.
RECOMMENDATION:
The request before City Council is to approve the 20% reduction on Annual Memberships purchased for the Recreation and Aquatic Center from December 18, 2016 through January 14, 2017.
