REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review and approve the Agreement for Professional Services from Kimley-Horn for the James E. Grey Preserve Improvement Project.
DISCUSSION:
The City received a grant from the Recreational Trails Program for the development of the newly acquired parcels of land at the James E. Grey Preserve. Attached is an Agreement from Kimley-Horn to provide professional services for the improvement project. The scope of the professional services include: site planning and coordination, site construction documents, permitting and construction phase services for the development of a parking lot, hard surface bike trail, walking trail, walking bridge, signage, trail connections and improvements for bicycles to the Phase III Upper Trail. The cost for this Agreement is $49,500, which is less then 15% of the total project cost as required by the Recreational Trails Grant and is within industry standards for this type of service.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Agreement with Kimley-Horn for professional services for the James E. Grey Preserve Improvement Project in the amount of $49,500.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
$49,500 funding is available in the Capital Improvement Project Account. | | | |
