The request of staff for City Council is to review and consider the attached proposal in the not to exceed amount of $40,815.70 from Schaer Development of Central Florida, Inc. for the 2017 Jasmine Heights Reclaimed Water Improvements/Expansion Project Phase 1.  Included in the proposal is an owner’s contingency in the amount of $3,514.05.  The pricing and contract documents are in accordance with the City's current As-Needed Miscellaneous Pipe Construction ITB#16 - 009.

Prior to the Marine Pkwy Multi-Use Path Project start up, Utility crews dug up and installed stub outs into the existing reclaimed transmission line at several intersections along Marine Pkwy.  During the project, a request for reclaimed water service was presented to the City by an owner of 16 properties in the Heights neighborhood.  Subsequent to the completion of the project four (4) of those homes were connected to reclaimed water along Marine Pkwy and 10 homes south of Marine Pkwy are expected  to connect to reclaimed water when it becomes available should City Council approve this request.
