REQUEST:
Staff requests that the City Council review and adopt the amended Comprehensive Fee Schedule for FY2017-2018.
DISCUSSION:
Various city departments charge fees for certain services, such as development reviews, copying public documents, use of city parks and recreation programs, construction permits, and more.
As part of an annual review, City staff reviewed the existing schedule of fees and are proposing certain changes for FY 2017-2018. Those changes have been highlighted in Blue in the attached schedule of fees and are as follows:
- Increasing the Residential Rental Permit to $50.00/year/house
- Reducing charge for computer use in the Library, from $3.00/day to $1.00/day
- Discontinuing the charge for staff providing Fax Service to residents. There is a self-service kiosk that can be used.
- Under Fire Department Fees:
- FEMA rates were adjusted to agree to current
- Increased rate for plan reviews, certain special event permits, and certain standby charges
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2018-01, which approves the Consolidated Fee Schedule for FY2018.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The amounts approved have been incorporated in the FY2017-2018 Operating Budget and will be utilized throughout the upcoming fiscal year. | | | |
