On July 19, 2016, City Council approved the appointment of Bob Smallwood as an alternate on the Land Development Review Board. Mr. Smallwood has served diligently in that capacity since that time.  Recently staff was notified that member, Judy Michel, had resigned from the Board.  Therefore, staff is requesting that City Council approve the appointment of Mr. Smallwood to member status to fill the vacant member position. With this appointment, that will leave one vacant alternate member position for the Board.

As there was now an open position on the Board, staff contacted Beverly Barnett to see if she would be interested in moving from the waiting list to the open alternate member position and she accepted. Ms. Barnett has been on the waiting list since she submitted her application last August. There have been no changes in the information that appeared on her original application. Should City Council approve the appointment of Ms. Barnett as second alternate, her term would be for three years and would be up for renewal on December 19, 2020.  This appointment would leave one person still on the waiting list for an open position on the Land Development Review Board.
