REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve the appointment of Deryl Burney to the Cultural Affairs Committee.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Deryl Burney has submitted his application seeking appointment to the Cultural Affairs Committee for Council's consideration. If approved, Mr. Burney's term will be for two years and will be up for renewal on January 16, 2020. Staff has verified that Mr. Burney meets the requirements set forth in the City's Code to serve on this board. With Mr. Burney's appointment, that leaves one member position and two alternate member positions open on the Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve approve the appointment of Deryl Burney to the Cultural Affairs Committee and accept the attached updated membership roster.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
