On June 17, 2017 the city entered into a collective bargaining agreement with the West Central Police Benevolent Association.  The agreement in addition to several other matters did provide for a new benefit structure relating to pension benefits. In that regard an ordinance was prepared that memorialized the terms of the agreement.  A copy of the ordinance is attached.

Since the time of adoption an error was identified in Section 4 (a) of the ordinance which relates to a member's normal retirement date.  Specifically, the ordinance sets forth a provision for normal retirement upon the age of fifty (50) and the completion of ten (10) years of service.  The correction relates to the years of service and the appropriate number of years of service is twenty (20).  A copy of an ordinance that effectuates the correction is attached for your consideration.
