REQUEST:
The request is for the City Council to authorize a pilot parklet program.
DISCUSSION:
At the work session that was conducted on March 27, 2018 staff presented some information relating to the design, placement and maintenance of parklets in order to determine if it might be appropriate for the City to consider a pilot program. In that regard, staff has contemplated the matter further and developed some program guidelines for your consideration. The program, as proposed, provides for the establishment of parklets in the downtown area for a period of 18 months from the date of approval.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council authorize the administration of a pilot parklet program in accordance with the standards as set forth in the attached pilot parking program guidelines.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
No funding is required for this item at this time. | | | |
