REQUEST:
I respectfully request Council authorization to purchase 46 Active Shooter Kits for issuance to officers at a cost of $33,975.14 from SRT Supply.
DISCUSSION:
In the FY 2017/2018 budget, Council approved the purchase of Active Shooter Kits for our officers which will include: 10 inch by 12 plate carriers, level III steel plates, helmets, tactical goggles and kit bags.
The recommended supplier is SRT Supply, LLC; Federal Eastern International, LLC. -- P.O. Box 386, St. Petersburg, FL 33731. All of the equipment is listed on State Contract.
The total cost of the equipment is $33,975.14.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend the purchase of 46 Active Shooter Kits at a cost of $33,975.14 from SRT Supply, LLC.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
This equipment will be purchased using unclaimed evidence monies and will not affect the Department’s FY 2017/2018 budget. | | | |
