REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve the appointments of Penelope Anderson and Lawrence Levy to the Environmental Committee.
DISCUSSION:
Staff was recently notified that two long standing members of the Environmental Committee had submitted their resignations due to a change in their work schedules. These resignations left a member position and first alternate position open on the Committee. Penelope Anderson has been a volunteer with the Environmental Committee since April of 2017 and has submitted her application to fill the vacant member position. Lawrence Levy has submitted his application for membership to fill the first alternate member position. If approved, both Ms. Anderson's and Mr. Levy's terms will be for two years and will be up for renewal on September 18, 2020. Staff has verified that both applicants meet the requirements set forth in the City's Code to serve on this committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the appointment of Penelope Anderson as member of the Environmental Committee and Lawrence Levy as first alternate member as submitted and accept the attached updated membership roster.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
