As City Council may recall, on October 3, 2017 at its regular meeting City Council awarded project bid #17-009 to SC Signature Construction Corporation in the amount not to exceed $139,911.00. Subsequent to the contract execution a project notice to proceed was issued to the contractor and construction of the restroom structure began on January 15, 2018 and was completed on September 5, 2018. The owner’s contingency in the amount of $8,638.06 was not utilized in the project and is identified as the attached deductive change order.
In addition to the demolition of the existing restroom and the construction of a new restroom structure, a storage area was construction and included as part of the main building. An existing sidewalk leading from the restroom to park shelters and the parking lot was removed and replaced in accordance with current code and ADA compliance standards. Finally, existing landscape, sod, and hardscape elements surround the restroom were removed and replaced.
