REQUEST:
The request is for the City Council to approve the proposed labor agreement between the City of New Port Richey and the West Central Florida Police Benevolent Association (PBA) for the period spanning from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2021.
DISCUSSION:
As you may recall, this item was presented to you for your approval at your regular meeting on November 7, 2018. Since that time, it has come to staff's attention that an incorrect version of the contract was attached to the agenda item. Since there were some minor differences in the version of the agreement you approved at your last meeting and the final draft, this item is being presented to you once again for ratification.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation is for City Council to vote in favor of ratifying the collective bargaining agreement with the West Central Florida Police Benevolent Association.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The financial impact associated with the approval of this agenda item is $30,897.00 for the current fiscal year. The funding to support the expenditure is available in the Reserves, Contingency account.
