REQUEST: The request is for City Council to approve the replacement of our Datacenters at the Police Department and Disaster Recovery location in the combined amount not to exceed $145,567.19.
DISCUSSION:
The servers were purchased in 2011 and have reached their end of life. After reviewing several different solutions, staff determined that the Datrium storage system was the best fit for the City’s needs for this project. This system provides increased performance, 52 Terabytes of Data storage, and includes redundant hosts. The Datacenters will be used to support virtual servers used to run operations at each location. This project was approved in the 2018 / 19 budget and pricing was provided by Florida contract (NVP 43230000-NASPO-16-ACS-SVAR(ADSPO16-130652).
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the proposal is recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for this project are allocated and identified in the Police Department Capital Purchases account number 001-06-061-521-46431 in the amount of $79,580.67 and the Technology Solutions Capital Purchases account number 001-024-46431 in the amount of $ 65,986.52.
