REQUEST:
The request is for the City Council to approve the creation of the CDBG CATF and appoint members to that committee. The CATF will serve as an oversight committee for the City’s CDBG program. The CATF must be composed of city residents and a majority must be under 80% of the median income for the Tampa Bay area,
DISCUSSION:
In anticipation of the City applying for State CDBG funds, a CATF must be appointed before an application is submitted. This committee will review the activities of the contracted consultant for the program, review all documents, and approve residents who are applying for assistance through the program. It is anticipated the committee will start meeting in the Spring, and continue through the end of the grant. The committee will then recommend to the City Council whether to apply for another housing grant, and infrastructure grant, or take another course of action.
RECOMMENDATION:
The following city residents are recommended to be appointed to the CATF:
