RE:	Fitzgerald's St. Patrick's Day Celebration - Alcoholic Beverage Special Exception Event

REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application for the Fitzgerald's St. Patrick's Day Celebration to be held on Railroad Square on March 15 - 17, 2019.

DISCUSSION:

The Special Event Team reviewed the application for the Fitzgerald's St. Patrick's Day Celebration, Alcoholic Beverage Special Event, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. The event will be held on Railroad Square and beer and wine will be sold as follows: Friday, March 15th from 5:00p.m. - 11:00p.m., Saturday, March 16th from 5:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

The Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance states that beer and wine may only be sold on Sundays from 1:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. The event organizer has requested additional hours for beer and wine to be sold during the event on Sunday, March 17th from 12:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

A map of the event area has been provided by the event organizer and is attached in this packet.

RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation is for approval of the Fitzgerald's St. Patrick's Day Celebration, Alcoholic Beverage Special Event, to be held on Railroad Square as detailed in the discussion above.

None.
