SUMMARY:
As you will recall, the Pasco County Legislative Delegation meeting took place on Monday, December 17, 2018. At that time, I presented City Council's list of priorities to the Delegation for the upcoming Legislative Session. Since that time, the City has entered into an agreement with Sunrise Consulting to provide lobbying services on behalf of the City. It is the intent of this work session to review already proposed legislation currently in State Committees that will directly affect our city and for Council to choose which legislation Sunrise should focus their efforts on. Mr. Shawn Foster from Sunrise Consulting will be in attendance to present the legislative update. As a reminder, the 2019 Florida Legislative Session opens on March 5, 2019 and runs until May 3, 2019.
REQUESTED ACTION:
Staff recommends that City Council conduct the work session to review proposed legislation for the upcoming 2019 Florida Legislative Session. | | | |
