As you are aware, for some time now I have been in discussions with the County Administrator regarding the parking lot behind their building on Main Street adjacent to the lot currently owned by the City.  The proposal included a redesign of all of the parking areas to increase the number of spaces from 71 to 102 and enhanced landscaping.  The proposal also included the provision that 30 spaces would be reserved for County owned vehicles. To solidify the deal, an Interlocal Agreement was prepared by the County and presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration at their meeting on February 19, 2019 and was approved.  The Interlocal Agreement is before you this evening for your review and approval.  The term of the Interlocal Agreement will be for five years and will automatically renew annually unless terminated by either party.
