REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to authorize the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Ayres Associates for the replacement of the shelters at Frances Avenue Park.
DISCUSSION:
Ayres Associates is on the list of approved engineering firms for City projects. The fee for design, structural engineering, bid and construction phase services is $34,980. This is less then 12% of the estimated construction cost for the entire project.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation is to approve the professional services proposal from Ayres Associates in the amount of $34,980. for the design, structural engineering, bid and construction phase services for three shelters at Frances Avenue Park.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The project is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Fund and will span over two fiscal years. A total of $35,000. is budgeted for engineering services ($25,000 in fiscal year 2019 and $10,000 in fiscal year 2020). The source of funding is Penny for Pasco. | | | |
