REQUEST:
The request of staff for the City Council is to review and approve the attached deductive change order in the amount of $(125,857.25) and final pay request in the amount of $204,763.26 from Augustine Construction, Inc. for the construction of the Madison St. Streetscape and Multi-Use Path Extension Project.
DISCUSSION:
This project was approved for design in the City's 2015 Capital Improvement Program. The project scope of work expanded the City's existing Downtown streetscape at Main Street north on the west side of Madison Street to Massachusetts Avenue. In addition, the scope of work connected to the existing Multi-Use Path at Kentucky Avenue and Madison Street extending the existing multi-use path south along the east side of Madison Street to Main Street. Additional project elements included the removal and replacement of damaged sections of the existing sidewalk, ADA sidewalk ramp improvements, decorative street lighting, hardscaping, landscaping, the installation of an LED crosswalk system in front of North Bay Hospital, as well as amenities similar to ones installed at the City's existing Downtown Streetscape areas and the existing multi-use path on Marine Pkwy.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the deductive change order and final pay request is recommended.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is identified as Local Option Gas Tax dollars. | | | |
