REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to approve the professional services of Stroud Engineering Consultants, Inc. for the Sims Park Boat Ramp and Restroom Improvement Project.
DISCUSSION:
Stroud Engineering Consultants, Inc. are on the list of approved engineering firms for City projects. The fee for design, structural engineering, bid and construction phase services is $81,000. This is 12% of the estimated construction cost for the project.
The Sims Park Boat Ramp and Restroom Improvement Project will include the installation of a new restroom facility, seawall cap and sidewalk additions, extension of the concrete ramp and the dredging of the rocks near the ramp.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation is to approve the professional services proposal from Stroud Engineering Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $81,000 for design, permitting, bid and construction phase services for the Sims Park Boat Ramp and Restroom Project.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The project is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Fund. The funding source is Penny for Pasco. | | | |
