RE:Annual Membership Drive - Recreation & Aquatic Center

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review and approve the Membership Drive for Annual Memberships to the Recreation and Aquatic Center.

DISCUSSION:

Each December and January, the Recreation and Aquatic Center conducts a Membership Drive.  The practice has proven to be an effective marketing tool for the facility.  Staff proposes the following sale costs for Annual Memberships.

Resident Youth:           $135   Sale Price:  $108.01

Resident Senior:          $168   Sale Price:  $134.40

Resident Adult:            $202   Sale Price:  $161.59

Resident Family:          $403   Sale Price:  $322.40

Non-Resident Youth:   $168   Sale Price:  $134.40

Non-Resident Senior:  $210   Sale Price:  $168

Non-Resident Adult:    $252   Sale Price:  $201.61

Non-Resident Family:  $504   Sale Price:  $403.20

 

The Membership Drive would take place from December 15, 2019 until January 18, 2020 to encourage new membership purchases and for membership renewals.  Staff is further recommending a one day early bird sale event where Annual Memberships would be offered at 30% off the regular cost only during the event on December 6, 2019 from (5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.)



RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Membership Drive on Annual Memberships to the Recreation and Aquatic Center from December 15, 2019 until January 18, 2020 at the fee schedule listed in this agenda item, and to approve the one day early bird sale with Annual Memberships being offered at 30% off the regular fee, only during the event on December 6, 2019 from (5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.)
