REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve the appointment of Linda Blake as member and Donald Blake as first alternate member to the City's Environmental Committee.
DISCUSSION:
Earlier this year, Jon Tietz and Lawrence Levy submitted their resignations from the Environmental Committee. As a result, first alternate member, John Kane, was moved up to fill one of the open member positions. On October 18, 2019, Linda and Donald Blake submitted their applications seeking appointment to the Committee for Council's consideration. At the request of the Blake's, Mrs. Blake is to be appointed as regular member and Mr. Blake as first alternate member. If approved, their terms will be for two years and will be up for renewal on November 19, 2021. Staff has verified that the Blake's meet the requirements set forth in the City's Code to serve on this board.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the appointment of Linda Blake as member and Donald Blake as first alternate to the City's Environmental Committee as submitted and accept the attached updated roster.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
