RE:First Reading, Ordinance No. 2020-2175: Rezoning for 5432 Acorn Street

REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to hold a first reading on an Ordinance denying a Zoning District Map amendment application that changes the zoning district of a 0.277-acre parcel located at 5342 Acorn Street from Residential (R-2) to Downtown zoning district.


DISCUSSION
:

Since the DRC recommended denial of the FLUM amendment to Downtown, then the Zoning District Map amendment (i.e., rezoning) to Downtown district would be inconsistent with its Low Density Residential FLUM designation. 



RECOMMENDATION:

The recommendation is to deny the Ordinance as submitted.


BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:

The proposed amendment would have no impact on the City's budget or have any fiscal impacts since the recommendation maintains existing conditions.
