The request is to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Gary Joiner in his capacity as the Property Appraiser of Pasco County in regard to the placement of code enforcement liens on the tax bills through the uniform method of tax collection.

As you are aware, the Property Appraiser has the ability to include fees which are not based on millage on the tax roll for collection by the Tax Collector.  In that regard at your meeting on December 17, 2019 a resolution was approved which authorized the use of the uniform method of collection relating to code enforcement fines. The purpose of this agenda item is to approve entering into an agreement with the Property Appraiser in respect to this matter and thereby placing delinquent code enforcement on the tax bills in October of 2020.   A copy of the proposed agreement is attached for your review.
