REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to approve the recommendation from the Cultural Affairs Committee to fund the Main Street Organization Valentine Window Decorating Contest with local merchants.
DISCUSSION:
A representative from the Main Street Organization attended the December Cultural Affairs Committee Meeting to discuss the Valentine Window Decorating Contest for the local merchants. The CAC voted during their January 15, 2020 meeting to recommend to City Council to support the Main Street Organization in the amount of $200 to be used as prize money for the contest.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is for approval of the recommendation from the Cultural Affairs Committee in the amount of $200 for the Main Street Organization Valentine Window Decorating Contest with local merchants.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in the Cultural Affairs Committee Budget for this cultural activity. | | | |
