REQUEST:
The City Council is asked to review and approve the following amendment to the FY20 Adopted Budget, which would allow for the following:

Purchase of a StoryWalk that will go in the James E. Grey Preserve. The cost is $5,019.18. $2,956.68 will be funded by a generous donation from the Friends of the Library. The remaining portion will be funded by donations received in the prior fiscal year.
DISCUSSION:
The City’s Purchasing Policy states that any capital purchase or improvement that is not part of the original budget must go before the City Council for approval. The City’s policy also states that a receipt not anticipated in the budget or received for a particular purpose, including but not limited to grants, donations, or gifts, must be approved by City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council approve the attached amendment to the FY20 Adopted Budget.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
The attached budget amendment results in an overall increase of $5,019.18 to the General Funds’ Operating Budget. | | | |
