RE:2020 Chasco Fiesta Alcoholic Beverage Special Event

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Applications for beer and wine to be sold in Sims Park for the Chasco Fiesta during all nine days of the event.   

DISCUSSION:

The Special Event Team met to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Applications for Chasco Fiesta at their regular meeting on January 14, 2020.  Chasco Fiesta is requesting to sell beer and wine in Sims Park as follows: 

Friday, March 27th       5:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

Saturday, March 28th    1:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

Sunday, March 29th      1:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

Monday, March 30th     5:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

Tuesday, March 31st     5:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

Wednesday, April 1st     5:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

Thursday, April 2nd       5:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

Friday, April 3rd            5:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

Saturday, April 4th        1:00p.m. - 11:00p.m.

 

A map that denotes the (3) locations where beer and wine will be sold is attached.  Insurance with Liquor Liability that lists the City as Additional Insured will be obtained from the event organizer prior to the event.

 

Beer and wine will be provided by two non-profit organizations in order to comply with the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance which does not allow a non-profit to distribute beer or wine beyond three consecutive days.  A non-profit may distribute beer and wine more then once a year as long as this does not expend beyond three consecutive days. 

 

Beer and wine will be sold by West Pasco Sertoma Club Inc. on March 27th - 29th and again on April 2nd - 4th.  Beer and wine will be sold by Chasco Fiesta Inc. on March 30th - April 1st.




RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Applications for the 2020 Chasco Fiesta for beer and wine to be sold in Sims Park as detailed in the Discussion Portion of this agenda item.
