REQUEST: The agenda request is for the City Council to conduct a second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2020-2182 which amends the Land Development Code, Chapter 5, Rezonings, Variances, Special Exceptions.
DISCUSSION:
Although the Land Development Code has guidelines for granting variances and special exceptions, it contains no guidelines for granting Official Zoning District Map amendments (i.e., rezonings) or Land Development Code amendments. This Ordinance addresses those omissions by establishing guidelines and repeals an inappropriately codified paragraph.
RECOMMENDATION: The Development Department recommends City Council conduct the second and final reading of Ordinance No. 2020-2182, which amends Land Development Code Chapter 5 as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required for this item. | | | |
