REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to approve the replacement of eight laptops from Vology for our Police Department in an amount not to exceed $24,473.04.
DISCUSSION:
The current laptops are over eight years old and can no longer be supported. Staff reviewed several laptops and determined that the Panasonic Toughbook best suited the needs of the department. These systems will include docking stations allowing the laptop to be used in office as well as in the vehicle.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the replacement of eight laptops from Vology for our Police Department as requested.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds for this project in the amount of $24,473.04 is allocated and identified in the Police Department Capital Purchases account number 001-06-06-064-521-0000-0000-46413.
