REQUEST:
The City Council is requested to open the second and final public hearing on the proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program for FY2020-2021. This hearing will also provide the City Council with the opportunity to perform a final review of the proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program.
DISCUSSION:
At the Public Hearing, the Mayor will announce the formal procedures, which must be followed in order to maintain compliance with Florida's laws and rules. Hardcopies of the City's Proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program have been made available in the public library and on the City’s website. Copies have also been distributed to City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
After receiving comments and questions from the public and full discussion and consideration of the City's proposed budget, staff will be prepared to make any changes or modifications that the City Council desires, so that Resolution No. 2020-51 adopting the final Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan may be approved.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
If adopted, the FY 2020-2021 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program will serve as the City’s spending plan for the ensuing fiscal year. | | | |
