REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review the funding request from the Cultural Affairs Committee to sponsor the Holiday Window Decorating Contest conducted by the New Port Richey Main Street Organization.
DISCUSSION:
The New Port Richey Main Street Organization has requested funding from the Cultural Affairs Committee in the amount of $500 to support their Holiday Window Decorating Contest with the local merchants. During the December 16, 2020 Cultural Affairs Committee meeting, the committee voted to recommend funding in the amount of $500 to be utilized as prize money for the Holiday Window Decorating Contest Winners as follows: $250 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd place and $100 for third. New Port Richey Main Street Organization will tally the votes and the winners will receive their prize check.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is for the approval of the Cultural Affairs Committee recommendation of funding to be provided to the New Port Richey Main Street Organization in the amount of $500 for their Holiday Window Decorating Contest.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available in the Cultural Affairs Committee budget account no. 001011 44810. | | | |
