REQUEST:
The request is for City Council to authorize an appropriation in the amount of $2,500 from the Public Art Fund to purchase a Fire Hydrant Sculpture Bicycle Rack to be positioned in the downtown area.
DISCUSSION:
The Cultural Affairs Committee voted at their meeting on December 16, 2020 to recommend to the City Council the purchase of a Fire Hydrant Sculpture Bicycle Rack. A drawing of the proposed bicycle rack is attached for reference. From the city staff's perspective, this matter has been completely vetted and we are in support of the request to establish the sculpture in the downtown area.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approves the request to purchase the Fire Hydrant Sculpture Bicycle Rack with funds available in the Public Art Fund as submitted.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this item is available in the City's Public Art Fund. | | | |
