REQUEST:
The request of staff is for the Board of Directors to review and consider for approval Task Order No. 21-02 from the Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Inc., for engineering services in the amount not to exceed $63,985.00 for design, bid, and construction services for the proposed 2021 Railroad Square Improvements Project.
DISCUSSION:
As the Board is aware, this project is included in the City’s current Capital Improvement Program. On November 5, 2019 at a City Council work session a discussion was held between City Council, staff, and the consultant to further advance proposed improvement elements to the area of Railroad Square along Nebraska Avenue east of Grand Boulevard. These improvement elements included:

The conversion of overhead service lines to underground.

Hardscape improvements such as stamped pavement, seating areas, planters, and shade structures.

Landscaping.

Overhead Café style lighting.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of Task Order is recommended.

Funds for this project are identified and allocated in the CRA budget account number 630080-46399-1. | | | |
