REQUEST:
I respectfully request Council approve the use of Equitable Sharing monies to purchase three (3) Harris XG-25P portable radios and accessories from Williams Communication, Inc., at a total cost of $10,204.53.
DISCUSSION:
The above listed radios are needed for issuance as timely replacements when radios are lost, destroyed, or require repairs. This equipment is proprietary and only manufactured by Harris Corporation. Williams Communication, Inc., is the authorized distributor and service provider for the Pasco area. Williams Communication is located at 5046 Tennessee Capital Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32303.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend Council authorize the use of Equitable Sharing Monies to purchase three (3) portable radios and accessories from Communications International, Inc., at a total cost of $10,204.53.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
Equitable Sharing monies will be used to purchase these radios; therefore, there is no direct impact to the Department’s F/Y 2020/2021 Budget.
