As you are aware, the Chasco Fiesta has been a long standing event for our community.  Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival was cancelled for 2020.  On January 12, 2021, event organizers conducted a work session with City Council to discuss this year's festival. Although the traditional festival would still not be a possibility due to the on-going pandemic, organizers proposed a series of smaller events to take place over the course of the year instead.  The first event, the Native American Pow-Wow, was held in March and was a large success. The organization now wishes to host its annual car show in the downtown on May 29, 2021. The Chasco Fiesta has submitted the attached letter seeking a contribution in the amount of $3,000 of in-kind support to assist with the event. Staff has reviewed the request and determined that the amount is appropriate to cover all of the expenses incurred by the City for this event.
