REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to approve the recommendation from the Recreation and Aquatics Department to initiate the annual Summer Membership Sale.
DISCUSSION:
The Parks and Recreation Department has held a Summer Membership Sale for the Recreation and Aquatics Center annually with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic. With approval the 2021 Summer Membership Sale would start on May 27th and concludes on August 9th. Summer Membership would allow families, or individuals the opportunity to utilize the recreation and aquatic facilities for the summer months at a discounted rate of 20% off of the total of three (3) one (1) month memberships combined. The Annual Summer Membership Sale has been a successful revenue generator over the past few years and the department would like to continue to offer this traditional opportunity.
RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is for approval of the Recreation and Aquatics Department's request to offer a Summer Membership Sale from May 27, 2021 - August 9, 2021.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
20% discount of the total of three (3) one (1) month memberships combined
