RE:	2021 Cotee River Bike Fest Alcoholic Beverage Special Event

REQUEST:
The request before City Council is to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application for beer to be sold in Sims Park for the Cotee River Bike Fest to be held during the second weekend in October.

DISCUSSION:

The Special Event Team met to review the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Application for the Cotee River Bike Fest at a meeting on May 11, 2021. Farrell Cares Inc. the organizers of Cotee River Bike Fest will offer beer to be sold in Sims Park as follows: Friday October 8th from 5pm - 11pm, Saturday October 9th from 12pm - 11pm, and Sunday October 10th from 1pm - 5pm.

Insurance that lists the City as Additional Insured will be obtained from the event organizer prior to the event.

RECOMMENDATION:
The recommendation before City Council is to approve the Alcoholic Beverage Special Event Permit Application submitted by Farrell Cares Inc. Approval of the application will allow beer to be sold in Sims Park at the 2021 Cotee River Bike Fest as detailed in the Discussion portion on this agenda item.
